Carol was the adopted daughter of Winnifred (Resseguie) and Elmer Graham, and was born September 24th, 1930, in Omaha, Nebraska. She spent her childhood living in the Creston, Nebraska area and graduated from Creston High School in 1948.  She married Myron Rosendahl on September 5th, 1948, at St. John's Lutheran Church in rural Columbus.  She and Myron started a farming operation north of Columbus in 1957.  She lived on this farm until her passing.   Carol and Myron were the parents of three sons:  Dale, Stanley, and David.

Carol was extremely active in the church her entire life.  She held offices in the Fellowship Club and the Women's Missionary Aid.  She taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School.  Carol was an avid reader.  She passed along that passion to students at St. John's Lutheran School where she was a volunteer in the library for 40 years.  She also served on the Board of Directors for the Platte County Bookmobile for many years.  She also did volunteer work at the Columbus Community Hospital for over 30 years.

Carol was active in the Nebraska Pork Council Women, an organization which help to promote the pork industry on the local, state, and national levels.  She held various offices in the local and state organizations.  Carol received many awards for her volunteer efforts including the Volunteer of the Year from the Nebraska State Pork Producers Association in 1985 and a Lifetime Achievement Award for her promotion work.  In 2004, Carol received the Outstanding Women in Agriculture Award from the Columbus Area Chamber of Commerce.

Carol's roots in the Creston area kept her active in that community her whole life.  She helped with many community activities including serving as the chairmen for the 1981 Creston Alumni banquet and Co-Chair for the 1990 Creston Centennial parade.

In her late 80's, Carol decided that she wanted to try and locate her biological family.  She was successful in getting her adoption records unsealed and was able to work with the Nebraska Children's Home Society to reach out to a family that she did not realize she had.   In 2019 she was able to meet them and communicated regularly with them until her passing.  Carol was very proud that her own family and her newfound family bonded as one.

Carol enjoyed attending sporting events when she could and was an avid fan of Husker Football, Basketball, Volleyball, Baseball and Softball teams.
