Walter Bahns, 66, of Clarkson, Nebraska died Wednesday, July 28, 2021, at his home in Clarkson.
A celebration of life will be held August 7, 2021 at The Barn in Clarkson, 4:00-6:00. A private family service will be held at the cemetery before.
Walter Bahns was born in Columbus, Nebraska, on May 13, 1955. and entered into Heaven July 28, 2021. Walter (Wally) son of Henry and Agnes (Reichmuth) Bahns grew up in Clarkson on the family farm where he also farmed. He went to school at St John Neumann in Clarkson and St Francis Catholic High School in Humphrey, Nebraska, graduating in 1973.
Wally loved farming with his Dad and sons. He also worked at Madison Pack, Clarkson Co-op, and Flex-con to support his farming hobby. Wally loved fishing and hunting, and cars. His 1975 firebird was his prize possession.
Wally married Pauline (Polly) Ament on May 12, 1978, in Lyons, Nebraska. They had six boys, Matthew, Jacob, Nickolas, Daniel, Michael and Kyle.
Wally is survived by his wife Polly and five sons: Matt and Lisa, Ryker and Carson of Clarkson; Nickolas and Angela, Clara and Ethan, of Natick MA; Daniel of Saratoga WY.; Michael and Annie, Hannah, Ava and Franklen of Clarkson; Kyle and Michaela and Remi of Norfolk, NE.
Wally is also survived by his siblings, Mary Bahns, Mexico; Eugene Bahns, Dayton Ohio; Theresa and Wayne Peirsal of Eagle NE.
Walter is preceded in death by his son Jacob Bahns, his parents Henry and Agnes Bahns, siblings David and Delores Bahns, Henry Robert Bahns, Roland Joseph Bahns, Nancy Bahns, ,Bernadette Bahns, Thomas Bahns.
Memories are suggested to the Clarkson Fire Department or Alzheimer's Association.
