Verlyn Lee Stuefer, 65, passed away at his home in Columbus.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 15, 2024, at 10:30 AM, at Gass Haney Funeral Home with Reverend Patrick Sparling officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday, April 14, 2024, at Gass Haney Funeral Home from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Immanuel Lutheran Church or family choice.
Verlyn was born on June 24, 1958, in Columbus to Quay and Laura (Eller) Stuefer. He was baptized on August 3, 1958, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Columbus. Verlyn attended Immanuel Lutheran School and Lakeview High School. He graduated from Platte College.
Verlyn lived his entire life on the family homestead. He enjoyed woodworking and welding. He made numerous holiday lawn decorations, which he loved to display. He collected Peanuts cartoon characters, mainly Snoopy. In his spare time, he loved going to auctions and garage sales. He was a friend to everyone he met and loved visiting with his friends. Verlyn worked various jobs, from K-Mart, Behlen Manufacturing, Fleischer Manufacturing, Tractor Supply, and Becton-Dickinson.

Nieces - Tammy Still of Metairie, LA; Shelly (Bill) Glaser of Roca, NE; and Lacy Brooks of Lincoln, NE

Brother - Delmar "Del" Stuefer of Lincoln, NE
Sister - Joan (Mike) Hasenkamp of Columbus, NE
Niece - Christie (Paul) Frederick of Omaha, NE
Nephew - Ryan Hasenkamp of Lincoln, NE
Brother - Gary Stuefer of Sacramento, CA
Verlyn was preceded in death by his father, Quay Stuefer, Brother-in-law Don Still, Grandparents Sherman and Katherine Stuefer, and Fred and Ottilie Eller.
