Thomas Warren Holub, 79, of Columbus, Nebraska, formerly of Brookings, Oregon, died Sunday, April 27, 2025, at Emerald Care and Rehabilitation in Columbus, Nebraska.

Thomas Warren Holub was born on April 2, 1946, in Fremont, Nebraska to Howard and Phyllis (Thomas) Holub.  Tom's family later moved to Columbus, where Tom attended Immanuel Lutheran School and graduated from Columbus High School in 1964.

Tom was a veteran, having served in both the United States Marine Corps and the United States Navy.
After his military service, Tom became affiliated with NASA through General Dynamics.  Tom was involved in designing and developing operational systems that were installed on space shuttles for the NASA space missions.  Tom was also involved with instructing the shuttle astronauts prior to their space missions on how to troubleshoot and repair these systems while in space.

Tom's hobbies included scuba diving, competitive pistol matches, cycling, and white-water rafting.  Tom was a history buff and an avid reader.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Phyllis Holub.

Tom's wishes were to be cremated.  There will be no visitation or memorial service.
