Taylor Epley, 35, of Columbus, Nebraska, died Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at Faith Regional Medical Center in Norfolk, Nebraska.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, June 23 at 7:00 PM at Gass Haney Funeral Home with Pastor Randy Longacre officiating.  Private family interment will be on Tuesday in the Greenwood Cemetery, Franklin, Nebraska.  The family will receive friends on Monday beginning at 4:00 PM at Gass Haney Funeral Home prior to the service.  Memorials may be directed to the wishes of the family.

Taylor Douglas Epley was born July 18, 1989, in Omaha, Nebraska.  He was brought home to Columbus by his parents Joel and Donna (Hammer) Epley  on July 20, 1989.  Taylor was baptized and confirmed at Peace Lutheran Church in Columbus and graduated from Columbus High School in 2007.

As a child, Taylor participated in Children's summer theater plays numerous times and usually was awarded a major role.  He loved to perform.  Some of his greatest joys were writing, gaming and spending time with friends and family.  Taylor especially cherished the time he spent with his daughters.  He was a very compassionate, unique person, always looking out for others and the less fortunate.  Taylor especially enjoyed deep conversations that usually ended with his wonderful sense of humor exposed.

Loving Partner - Holly Harris of David City, NE
Nieces and nephews - Kayden and Kaira Epley; Desmond and Emma McDonald; Brooklynn and Jaxon Campbell

"Grief is the price we pay for love."  Taylor was loved greatly and we grieve.
