Shirley Weldon, 89, of Bellevue, Nebraska, died Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at the Bellevue Medical Center in Bellevue.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, February 10 at 1:30 PM at First Church of Monroe with Pastor Jason Kennedy and Pastor Connie Kramer officiating.  Interment will be in the Valley View Cemetery in Genoa, Nebraska.  Visitation will be on Monday from noon until service time at the church.  Memorials may be directed to the family.

Shirley was born November 21, 1935, in Genoa, Nebraska, to Fred and Emily "Irene" (Steele) Beal.  She attended Genoa Public School and on October 23, 1965, was united in marriage to Vernon Weldon in Hordville, Nebraska.  Shirley has lived in Bellevue, Nebraska, for the past 30 years.

Shirley was a devoted mother and grandmother and had a strong Christian faith.  She was a member of St. James United Methodist Church in Bellevue.  Shirley enjoyed playing BINGO, cards, and computer games.

Nephew – John (Diane) Beal of Grand Island, NE

Niece – Debbie Beal of Grand Island, NE
