Shirley Morrison, 68, of Duncan, Nebraska, died Thursday, February 15, 2024, at her home in Duncan.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 22, 2024, at 10:00 AM, at Gass Haney Funeral Home, with Pastor Rob Clay officiating.  Visitation will be one hour prior to service on Thursday.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Columbus Community Hospital Hospice, 3005 19th Street, #600, Columbus, Nebraska, 68601.  The family will be gathering at T-Bone Truck Stop for cake and coffee following the memorial service.  The service will be broadcast live on Gass Haney Funeral Home Facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100057043736890

Shirley was born October 28, 1955, in Dade City, Florida, to James and Ethel (Cox) Williams.  She graduated from Zephyrhills High School, Zephyrhills, Florida. She attended college for one year and then began a 40-year career in the medical field, starting out as a nurse's aide in Dade City and ended her career as an administrative assistant to the Chaplain at Orlando Regional Medical Center.  Shirley was a member of the First Baptist Church in Orlando where she helped with the food service ministry, and was involved in the Lydia House Ministry.  On December 24, 2000, Shirley was united in marriage to John Morrison in Zephyrhills.  Shirley had a love of baking, and this passion led them to start a small cake baking and decorating business.  They moved to Nebraska in 2021 where she worked at T-Bone in Duncan.
