Robert "Rob" Keller, 51, of Columbus, Nebraska, died Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at his home.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, February 9, at Gass Haney Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Edward Yang officiating. Visitation will be on Sunday, from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM and continue Monday, from 10:00 AM until service time, all at the funeral home. Interment will be in St. Francis Cemetery in Humphrey, Nebraska.

Rob was born on February 24, 1974, to Allen and Joyce (Schumacher) Keller.  He attended Humphrey St. Francis School and graduated in 1992.  He lived and was raised on a farm outside of Humphrey.  Rob was a farmer at heart.  He would do anything to help his father, and then his brother, at the farm outside of Humphrey at the drop of a hat.

In 1995, he married Michele and soon became the father of two boys, Kanten and Brendon.  In 2003, he met Chrissy and gained five stepchildren.  He was a very proud and wonderful father to all seven of his kids.

Rob worked at Appleton until it closed, and then he went to work with his friends at Flat River until it closed.  At the time of his death, he was working at Superior Industries.  He was one of the hardest working people you could ever meet.

Rob was willing to help anyone who asked with any task that was requested.  Whether it was cultivating, planting, replacing a roof, or spreading landscape rocks, he helped every time he was called.

Rob was known to pull out his trusty air guitar at the first chords of AC/DC.  It didn't matter the song, he knew them all by heart.  His love of Husker football ran deep and was instilled in his kids.  He never missed a game, and, if you stopped for one, he always made sure you had a drink in your hand and food in your stomach.

Rob fought with strength and hope through the last year of his cancer with his family by his side the whole time.
