Richard "Rick" Weyers, 57, of Duncan, Nebraska, died Monday, August 18, 2025, at his home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM, on Saturday, August 23, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Duncan with Father Jacob Chindo celebrating the Mass. Visitation will be on Friday, from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM, at Gass Haney Funeral Home and continue Saturday, from 9:30 AM until service time, at the church. Interment will be in St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery.

Richard Larry Weyers was born on June 26, 1968, in Beatrice, Nebraska, to Larry and Ann (Yeakley) Weyers. The family moved to Humboldt when Rick was 5, he attended school there and graduated from Humboldt High School in 1987. He received an Associate Degree in Electromechanical Technology from Southeast Community College in 1989 and an Associate Degree in Machine Design from Central Community College in 1995. He worked at Becton Dickinson for over 28 years.

On November 2, 1996, Rick was united in marriage to Lisa Rhea at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Columbus. Rick's hobbies included camping, hunting, fishing and woodworking. He also enjoyed Nebraska football and basketball and traveling, especially to national parks throughout the country.
