Richard "Dick" Moore, 88, of Clarkson, Nebraska, died Sunday, January 21, 2024, at Clarkson Community Care Center in Clarkson.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, January 24, at SS Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church in Clarkson, with Father Matthew Gutowski celebrating the Mass. Visitation will be on Tuesday, from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM, with a Vigil Service at 6:00 PM, and visitation will continue Wednesday, from 9:00 AM until service time, all at the church. Richard "Dick" C. Moore was born March 13, 1935, in Clarkson, Nebraska, to Clarence and Lucille (Triggs) Moore.  He graduated from Clarkson High School and attended Wayne State College for one year.  Dick spent two years in the National Guard.  On May 10, 1955, Dick was united in marriage to Dorothy Dvorak at Holy Trinity Catholic Church at Heun.  Dick operated Moore's Department Store in Clarkson for 45 years.  He was an active member of SS Cyril & Methodius Church where he had sung in the church choir, served as a church elder, and was a 3rd Degree Knights of Columbus.

While the boys were young, Dick was a Boy Scout leader, served on the school board, was a member of Lions Club, and served on the Clarkson Housing Authority.  Dick was a 25 year member of the Clarkson Volunteer Fire Department, was on the rescue squad, and a committee member for Czech Days.  He and Dorothy enjoyed camping and were camp hosts at Stanton and Leigh Camp Sites.
