Richard L. Hoessel, 58, of Columbus, Nebraska, died Monday, February 11, 2008, at the Columbus Community Hospital.
The funeral service will be Friday, February 15, 10:30 A.M. at the Immanuel Lutheran Church with Rev. Art Brinkmeyer and Rev. Kurt Ebert officiating. Interment will be in the Roselawn Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the Gass Haney Funeral Home and on Friday from 9:30 - 10:30 A.M. at the church with a family prayer service at 10:15 A.M.
Richard L. Hoessel was born April 12, 1949, in Columbus, Nebraska, to Art and Helen (Marty) Hoessel. Richard attended Immanuel Lutheran School and graduated from Columbus High School in 1967 and attended school in Hastings, Nebraska, where he studied to be an electrician and received his Journyman Electrician License. He went to work for ABC Electric in Hastings before returning to Columbus to work with his father at Hoessel Electric. In the early 1980's, Richard went to work for N.P.P.D. as an electrician in Sutherland, Nebraska. He retired from N.P.P.D and returned to Columbus in 2002. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time outside in his garden.

Brother: Robert (Ainura) Hoessel of Rochester Hills, MI
