Peter H. Dethlefsen, 92, of Humphrey, Nebraska, died Saturday, May 14, 2022, at Mid Nebraska Lutheran Home in Newman Grove, Nebraska.

A memorial graveside service will be held at Humphrey City Cemetery on April 1, 2023, at 10:00 AM with Rev. Brad Birtell officiating. Memorials are suggested to St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Humphrey Community Club, or the Humphrey Rescue Unit.

Peter was born April 1, 1930, in Wallsbüll, Germany, to Heinrich and Anna (Sievertsen) Dethlefsen. In 1955 he immigrated to the United States and settled in Humphrey, Nebraska, where he was a butcher and meat cutter for City Meat Market which was owned by the Detlefsen family. He enjoyed bowling and was a member of the Humphrey Community Club.
