Patrick W. Young, 65, of Lincoln, Nebraska, died peacefully at his home in Lincoln.
An open house celebrating Pat's life will be held from 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at Highland Park Church Fellowship Hall in Columbus. Pat's family is providing a time for friends and family to share at 11:00 AM that morning. In lieu of flowers, stones, etc. memorials are suggested to the Diabetes Association.
Patrick Young was born July 22, 1959, in Bassett, Nebraska, to Richard and Elaine (Worden) Young. He graduated from Columbus High School in 1977. Patrick loved music and used that talent to run a successful Karaoke business for many years. He had many friends and acquaintances over the years and valued the many friendships he made throughout his life. Patrick lived in the Lincoln area since early 1990's and really enjoyed his life there. His health had been declining over the past several years and he was spending time with family and friends as much as possible.
Patrick is survived by: Mother - Elaine Young of Columbus, NE; like a daughter - Kanai Kuhnel (Dustin); Siblings - Cynthia (Doug) Taylor of Millard, NE; Cheryl Scott (wife - Thea Clayborn) of Piedmont, OK; Dennis (Gwen) Worden of Columbus, NE; and Jerry (Connie) Worden of Silver Creek, NE. Many nieces and nephews, two great nieces and one great nephew. Multiple friends and extended family members.
Patrick was preceded in death by his father Richard Young and both maternal and paternal grandparents.
He loved his family, Nebraska football, music, friends and his many dog companions over the years, that he missed dearly.
