Patrick Patterson, 78, of Columbus, Nebraska, died Saturday, February 18, 2017, at the Holmes Lake Manor in Lincoln, Nebraska.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, February 24, at 2:00 PM at Gass Haney Funeral Home with Pastor Greg Priebe officiating. Visitation will be on Friday from noon until service time at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Omaha National Cemetery on Monday, February 27, 2017.

Patrick was born on July 31, 1938, in Los Angeles, California, to James J. Patterson, Sr. and Merrill (Manahan) Patterson. He had one brother, James Patterson, Jr., and two sisters, June and Linda. Patrick was married in 1979 to Lou and had four children together. Patrick joined the US Army on December 18, 1970, and was honorably discharged on August 31, 1972, serving during the Vietnam War. He worked as a mechanic and construction foreman for several companies until his retirement. Patrick was an active member of the Columbus VFW and American Legion.

Daughter – Terra Patterson of San Antonio, TX
Daughter – Alicia (Casey) Priebe of Redding, CA
Grandchildren – Nikolas, Briella, and Lilly
Sisters – June and Linda
