Rev. Norma Jean Andrews, 88, of Columbus, Nebraska, died Friday, November 4, 2022, at Emerald Care & Rehab of Columbus.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 8 at 10:30 AM, at First United Methodist Church in Columbus with Rev. Cindi Stewart officiating. Interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 9:30 AM until service time at the church. Memorials may be directed to those of family or donor's choice. For those unable to attend the funeral service, the service will be broadcast live on Gass Haney Funeral Home's Facebook page.

Norma Jean was born March 12, 1934, in Albion, Nebraska, to Harry and Stella (Allard) Andrews. The family moved to Columbus where Norma Jean attended Columbus Public Schools and graduated from Kramer High School. Norma Jean continued her drive for higher education and Christian education, and eventually graduated from Saint Paul School of Theology in Overland Park, Kansas. Her last dual parish she served in Nebraska was in Orchard and Royal. She retired from the ministry and moved back to Columbus. Norma Jean enjoyed sewing, doing jigsaw and crossword puzzles. As her health began to fail, Norma Jean moved in with her niece Barb Briggs who opened her home to her and took care of her before she moved into Emerald Care and Rehab. Norma Jean attended First United Methodist Church, was part of the ladies bible study, and never missed an opportunity to share God's word with anybody that would take a moment to visit with her.
