Noel Pinney, 78, of Columbus, Nebraska, died Friday, July 12, 2024, at his home in Columbus.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 24, at St. Joseph Cemetery, rural Bellwood, Nebraska followed by a light lunch from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM at the Columbus Housing Authority Community Room (2554 40th Avenue, Columbus).

Noel L. Pinney was born on August 28, 1945, in Norfolk, Nebraska, to Valbern and Lyell June (Fleener) Pinney. He grew up and attended school in northeast Nebraska and settled in Columbus. Noel overcame a lot of adversity in his life. He enjoyed going to the senior center, fishing, puzzles, and gardening. He never knew a stranger and would talk to anybody.
