Nancy K. Powell, 66, of Columbus, Nebraska, died Tuesday, July 25, 2017, at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, July 31 at 10:30 AM at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Columbus with Rev. Patrick Sparling officiating. Interment will be at 3:00 PM in Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery in Lincoln. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Gass Haney Funeral Home and continue on Monday from 9:30 AM until service time at the church. There will be a family prayer service on Monday at 10:15 AM at the church.

Nancy was born April 1, 1951, in Lincoln, Nebraska, to Edwin and Doris (Lukert) Lehr and was raised in York, Nebraska. She graduated from York High School and went on to attend the University of Nebraska Lincoln and Platte College, where she received an Associate's degree in Business. Nancy was united in marriage to Tom Powell on February 23, 1985 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Columbus, Nebraska, and together they had four children, who Nancy often referred to as her greatest accomplishments.

Nancy worked as the secretary at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Columbus, where she was an active member and enjoyed being involved in Mission Sowers, hand bell choir, and various Bible studies. She also enjoyed spending time with family, attending her children's many activities, and socializing with friends. She also enjoyed reading, sewing, and traveling.

Brother-in-law – Ron (Karen) Powell of Lincoln, NE
Nephews – Zach and Josh Powell
