January 29, 1931 – December 11, 2025
Nadine Lucille Mohrman, formerly of Columbus, Nebraska, passed away on December 11, 2025, in Nixa, Missouri.
The funeral service will be held on Monday, December 15, 2025, at 1:30 PM, at Shell Creek Baptist Church with Pastor Ben Jones officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday from 12:30 PM until service time at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that Bibles be given through Gideons International in her memory. Nadine was born on January 29, 1931, in Platte County, Nebraska, to William and Lydia (Rodehorst) Welch. She attended Platte County grade school and graduated from Kramer High School in Columbus. Nadine married Melvin Mohrman on her 19th birthday. They made their home north of Columbus on the Mohrman Homestead, farming together for over 50 years. In addition to farming, Nadine worked several years at Dale Electronics.
Nadine was a devoted member of Shell Creek Baptist Church, where she taught cradle roll Sunday School and volunteered in Vacation Bible School. A gifted alto, she sang in choirs and small groups and taught many the joy of harmony. She also enjoyed traveling with Melvin to Hawaii, China, Europe, and throughout the United States. Nadine was active in her weekly Bible study and the Lady Slipper extension club.
Nadine was preceded in death by her parents, William and Lydia; husband, Melvin; infant daughter, Pamela; son, Scott; stillborn son, Bruce; sisters, Gerry Trofholz and Carolyn Mihulka-Berchtold; brother, Neil Welch
Nadine is survived by two children, Russell (Linda) Mohrman of Branson, MO and Patricia (Mark) Cady of Lake City, FL; 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren, sister, Sharon Lehr of Oldsmar, FL; and sister-in-law, Marty Welch of Omaha, NE.
