Mya Nickels, 20, of Columbus, Nebraska, died Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at the York General Hospital, York, Nebraska.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, December 5, from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM, at Barrell House, 2311 14th Street, Columbus, NE.  Family and friends are welcome to stop by, share some stories and memories over a light lunch.

Mya was born November 6, 2003, in Columbus, Nebraska, to Ashley Nickels. She attended Columbus public schools and graduated from Columbus High School in 2022. Mya worked at Super Saver, Big Apple Bagels, and most recently Hy-Vee.  Mya loved photography, makeup, her boyfriend Tate and best friend Rachel. Mya adored her cats Carlos, Repunzel, and Tracy. She took her role as big sister to Olivia with great pride. Anyone that knew Mya knows how kind, sweet and caring she was. She always had a compliment to give and smile to share. Mya was quick witted and funny. Recently Mya moved to York to start her life. She will be terribly missed and we loved her so much.
