Michael Renze, 63, of Columbus, Nebraska, died at his home in Columbus.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 31, at 2:00 PM at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church with Father Allen Reicks celebrating the Mass. Visitation will be on Friday, from 1:00 PM until Mass time, with a rosary at 1:45 PM, all at the church. Michael Arlan Renze was born on March 11, 1961, in Jefferson, Iowa, to LaVern and Kathleen (Klein) Renze. He graduated from school in Harlan, Iowa and later earned an Associate's degree. On July 8, 2000, Michael was united in marriage to Josephine Ndungu.

Michael worked at Cargill in various positions for over 40 years. He loved sports, especially football and was a big Husker fan and Dallas Cowboys fan. He also enjoyed watching the NBA and was a fan of the Los Angeles Lakers. He enjoyed working a lot, playing pool in his younger days, and bowling, both on his own and on his team in a bowling league.
