Mary Jo Becker

Mary Jo Becker, 89, of Columbus, Nebraska, died Sunday, July 5, 2026, at Emerald care and Rehabilitation in Columbus. Private family services will take place at a later date.

Mary Jo was born on May 14, 1937, in Tecumseh, Nebraska to Clarence and Ola (Mitchell) Taylor. Mary Jo grew up in Tecumseh and graduated from Tecumseh High School in 1956.

Mary Jo married Lee Becker in 1956 in Red Oak Iowa. Mary Jo and Lee moved to Osceola in 1971. They were blessed with three children, Tammy, Corey, and Darcie. Lee passed away in 2002.

Mary Jo Owned and operated Yesterday’s treasures antique shop in Osceola for 40 years. Mary Jo moved to Columbus in 2014, and was a partner in the Cottonwood Antique Shop in Columbus. Mary Jo enjoyed antiques, bowling, travel, and yard and garden work.

Daughter – Tammy (Robert) Sterns of Benedict, NE
Son – Corey Becker of Columbus, NE
Daughter – Darcie Senff of Minden, NE
Five Grandchildren

Brother – Carel Taylor
