Mary Andreasen, 86, of Genoa, Nebraska, died Saturday, December 11, 2021, at Genoa Community Hospital LTC in Genoa.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 14, at 10:30 AM, at St. Ansgar Lutheran Church in Rosenborg, with Vicar Adam Klinker officiating. Visitation will be on Monday, from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Ramaekers Patrick Funeral Chapel in Genoa. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, from 9:30 AM until service time at the church. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.

Mary Eleanor Andreasen was born on September 9, 1935, in Genoa, to Greger and Eleanor (Johnson) Andreasen. She attended school in St. Edward, Nebraska, and graduated from St. Edward High School in 1954. After completing her college education in Wahoo, Nebraska, Mary moved to Lincoln, Nebraska, where she began a long career in banking. In 1968, Mary moved with her two sons to California and continued her career in banking, retiring in 2000 as a savings and loan manager. In 2005, she moved back to Genoa to be near her family. Mary enjoyed crocheting, sewing, making jewelry, and traveling in RVs with her friends to many destinations around the country.
