Marvin Head, 92, of Parker, Colorado, died peacefully on Thursday, August 15, 2024, in Columbus, Nebraska.

Graveside services with military honors by the American Legion Hartman Post 84 Honor Guard will be held on Monday, August 19, 2024, at the Columbus Cemetery at 3:00 PM.  There will be no visitation.  Memorials may be directed to the family.

Marvin was born January 3, 1932, in Schuyler, Nebraska, to William and Ruth (Stewart) Head.  He attended Columbus Public School and on December 19, 1950, entered the United States Army.  Marvin was honorably discharged on December 18, 1953.  Marvin's love for horses started at an early age and led to Marvin working for many different horse trainers throughout his life.  In February, 1974, Marvin was united in marriage to Sandra Layja in Arizona.
