Marva Furbur, 81, of Columbus, Nebraska, died Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at Bryan Medical Center East Campus in Lincoln, Nebraska.
The funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 18, at Gass Haney Funeral Home with Pastor Keunsik Lee officiating. Visitation will be on Friday, from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM and continue Saturday, from 9:00 AM until service time, all at the funeral home. Interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Cemetery.
Marva Jean Furbur was born on November 14, 1942, in Ansley, Nebraska, to Marvin "Doyle" and Betty (King) Garwood. She grew up in Ansley and Aurora and moved to Columbus in 1967. She was employed at Behlen Manufacturing for over 30 years.
On May 17, 1997, Marva was united in marriage to James Furbur in Columbus. The couple enjoyed traveling and Marva especially loved their trips to Branson and their trip to Germany. Marva was very interested in following politics and attending music shows. She was a big fan of Daniel O'Donnell and had attended several of his shows and got to meet him in person. Marva also enjoyed doing crafts as a pastime in her retirement years.
