Marion L. Lusche, 74, of Columbus, Nebraska, died Friday, June 20, 2003 at the Columbus Community Hospital.

Services will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2003 at 10:30 AM at St. John's Lutheran Church Shell Creek with Rev. Peter Jark-Swain officiating. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Gass Haney Funeral Home and on Saturday, from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the church. There will be a family prayer service Saturday at 10:15 AM at the church.

Marion L. Lusche was born June 16, 1929 in rural Columbus, Nebraska to Emil & Alvina (Klug) Ahrens. She attended schools in Platte County and graduated from Kramer High School in 1947. On September 4, 1949, Marion married Lawrence Lusche at St. John's Lutheran Church, Shell Creek. They lived on the family farm since 1949. Marion was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church where she was also active in the Ladies Aid. She was a member of the Followers of Christ, the Lamplighters Extension Club, and the Birthday Club. Marion enjoyed cooking, playing cards, visiting with her friends, traveling, and spending time with her grandchildren.
