Marguerite Pauline Beisner, 94, of Fremont, Nebraska, died Monday, September 7, 2026, at Dunklau Gardens in Fremont.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, September 14, at 11:00 AM, at Gass Haney Funeral Home with Rev. Cory Burma officiating. Interment will be in the Columbus Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday from 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Peace Lutheran Church.

Marguerite (Oehler) Beisner was born October 21, 1931, on the farm that her great grandmother homesteaded in Lac qui Parle County, Minnesota, to Paul and Elsie (Schmeichel) Oehler. She was baptized and confirmed her Christian faith at Trinity Lutheran Church in Ortonville, Minnesota. Marguerite graduated from Ortonville High School in 1949 and earned a bachelor’s degree in education from Concordia Teachers College in River Forest, Illinois, in 1954. She was a secretary at Big Stone County Attorney’s office for one year prior to going to college, and after graduation, Marguerite taught at St. Paul Lutheran School in Amherst, Colorado.

On June 29, 1956, Marguerite was united in marriage to Dwain Beisner at Trinity Lutheran Church in Ortonville. They lived in Ogallala, Nebraska, before moving to Columbus, Nebraska, in 1969 where she worked for the Columbus City Schools in special education for 15 years. Dwain died on June 5, 1986. Marguerite moved to Fremont, Nebraska in 2013 where she lived at Nye Square until moving into Dunklau Gardens in August 2026. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Columbus. She enjoyed playing pitch, crocheting and doing word finds.
