Mardell L. Warner, 96, of Columbus, Nebraska, formerly of Monroe, Nebraska, died Saturday, January 20, 2024, at Emerald Care & Rehab in Columbus.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 27, at 10:30 AM, at Gass Haney Funeral Home with Pastor Connie Kramer officiating.  Interment will follow in Okay/New Hope Cemetery, north of Monroe, Nebraska.  Visitation will be on Saturday from 9:30 AM until service time at the funeral home.  Memorials may be directed to Emerald Nursing & Rehab in Columbus. Mardell L. Warner was born on August 1, 1927, to Carl and Olive (Watts) Curtis in Monroe, Nebraska. She attended school in Monroe and graduated from Monroe High School in 1945. Mardell was united in marriage to Earl Warner on May 15, 1948.

Mardell enjoyed crocheting, doing jigsaw puzzles, word search puzzles, mowing, and bird watching. She also enjoyed shopping at Hobby Lobby and doing crafts, woodworking, and Nebraska football. She was very active in the Monroe Methodist Church and taught Sunday school for many years.
