Lucille Sand, 96, of Humphrey, Nebraska, died Thursday, February 27, 2025, at Brookestone Acres in Columbus, Nebraska.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, March 4, at St. Francis Catholic Church in Humphrey, with Father Stan Schmit celebrating the Mass. Interment will be in St. Francis Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday, from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM, with a Vigil Service at 7:00 PM, all at the church. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, from 9:30 AM until service time, at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Francis Catholic Church or the Humphrey Rescue Unit.
Lucille was born December 28, 1928, in Platte County, Nebraska, to Ferdinand "Butch" and Agnes (Brandl) Weidner. She attended Sacred Heart School and on November 15, 1949, was united in marriage to Francis Sand at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cornlea, Nebraska. Lucille was a loving and supportive wife and mother to seven children. She enjoyed cooking, quilting, playing cards and entertaining. Lucille love traveling and her and Francis traveled the world together. She always welcomed everyone into her home. Lucille was a faithful member of St. Francis Catholic Church.
