Loren Douglas Swiney was born August 9, 1938, in Shelbyville, Illinois, to George D. and Hester M. [Winings] Swiney.  He passed away December 15, 2024, in Omaha, Nebraska, at the age of 86.

Private visitation and funeral service will be held.

Loren graduated from Kramer High, Columbus, Nebraska.  He married Darlene 'Dolly' Edwards in 1956, and from this union were born four children, Richard, Paul, John Mark, and Jayne.  He married Janice L. Kumm on February 13, 1968, and Norma J. Fricke on April 26, 2018.

Through his lifetime, Loren held a number of sales positions, starting with Watkins Products and Singer sewing machines, then U.S. Chamber of Commerce, and lastly the National Federation of Independent Business.  He won many awards for his salesmanship.

Loren enjoyed music, and he loved to sing.  He spent much time working in his yard, and planted many trees and flowers.
