Linda M. Went, 70, of Columbus, Nebraska, died Friday, January 10, 2025, at the Columbus Community Hospital.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, January 17 at 10:30 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Columbus with Pastor Ollie Fullmer officiating.  Interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Cemetery in Columbus.  Visitation will be on Thursday from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Gass Haney Funeral Home and continue Friday from 9:30 AM until service time at the church.  There will be a family prayer service on Friday at 10:15 AM at the church.  Memorials are suggested as those of the family or donors choice.

Linda Went was born July 16, 1954, in Columbus, Nebraska, to Otto and Celia (Schwank) Blessen.  Her mother died when she was a very young child.  Linda attended Columbus Public School's and graduated from Lakeview High School.  She was baptized and confirmed her Christian faith through confirmation at Trinity Lutheran Church.

Linda worked as a bartender and waitress most of her life.  While working at "Last Chance" in Schuyler, Linda met Terry Went who would stop in for lunch.  After a short courtship the two were united in marriage in August 1977.  Linda welcomed Terry's daughter Tara to the new family.  Later three more children were born – Amanda, Lindsay, and Trevor.  These four became the joy in Linda's life and she made sure that a firm Christian foundation was taught to all four children.  Her love for people made her a great employee in the restaurant/bar business.  She could visit with anyone and loved doing so.  Linda was a great cook, loved her flowers, and enjoyed attending her children's school events.

Grandchildren -  Skylar Goering, Lowen Went,  Spencer Goering, Alizae Mejia, Ayden, Hayven, and Adryck Stewart, and Theodore Went
Sister – Rosemary (Jerry) Kracl of Schuyler, NE
