Linda Louise Thies, formerly of Albion, Nebraska, died Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Genoa Long Term Care, surrounded by family.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 13th, 2025 at Augustana Lutheran Church basement hall in Genoa from 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Linda's name to Highland Park Evangelical Church of Columbus or Genoa Medical Facilities. The family would like to thank the staff at Genoa Medical Facilities for the excellent care she received during her time residing there.

Linda was born in Albion, Nebraska, on September 4, 1948, to Earl and Lois (Tyler) Hulse. As a young girl she loved to play baseball and listen to Elvis Presley records. After high school she married Louis Thies of Albion and had four children. Linda was a homemaker but held many jobs around Albion at places such as Stewart Studio, the Albion Shopper, L&L Construction, Azonics, Pizza Hut and Casey's.

Linda had a love for sewing and made many items for her family and friends as well as donating her time to sew thousands of children's dresses and shorts for Highland Park Evangelical Church. She loved baking, especially cookies. She also had a knack for making Carmel Corn and sweets for her family. She will be greatly missed.

Linda is survived by her four children, daughter Lisa (David) Osborne of O'Neill, NE, sons Aaron (Megan) of Kearney, Michael of Genoa, and Joseph (Ashley) of Genoa. Ten Grandchildren, Nick Thies, Armin (Rhiannon) Thies, Veda Thies, Zach Osborne, Zoe Osborne,  Aubrey Thies , Chase Lesiak, Charley Reicks-Thies, Benji Thies, and Tobi Thies . And one Great Grandson, Theodore Thies.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Lois, husband Louis, and grandson Daxton Thies.
