Linda A. Thalken of Columbus, Nebraska, died November 10, 2023, at Emerald Care and Rehabilitation in Columbus.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Linda was born on November 24, 1962, in Orange County, California to Ivan and Sue (Christensen) Goering.

Linda graduated from Leigh High School in Leigh, Nebraska.  She was united in marriage to Ronald Thalken on June 11, 1983.  Linda and Ron had one daughter, Claire.

Linda worked several jobs over her lifetime, including production, wood crafting, a checker, and as a waitress.  Linda loved horses, reading , animals, and antiquing.

In 1996, Linda was diagnosed with vasculitis of the brain and became profoundly disabled.  However her family continued to support her and enrich her life.  Due to the efforts of her husband and daughter her sense of humor remained intact.
