Linda Jean Cinfel passed away May 18, 2021, just short of her 70th birthday, at the Clarkson Community Care Center.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 25 at 11:00 AM at New Zion Presbyterian Church in Clarkson with Pastor Laura Rasmussen officiating. Private family interment will be in the Clarkson National Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until service time at the church.

Linda was born June 6, 1951, in Schuyler, Nebraska, to Laurence and Helen (Luxa) Cinfel. She attended Rural School District 29 in Colfax County and graduated from Clarkson Public School in 1970. Linda lived with her family on the home farm until moving to Clarkson in the early seventies.

While living in town, Linda delighted in taking her scooter out for drives throughout the town, oftentimes toting with her a basketful of her favorite furry stuffed friends. She also loved helping at a local daycare, spending time with the children there. Linda received the Volunteer of the Year Award in 2012 for her work at the nursing home and was very proud of that accomplishment.

Residing at Clarkson Community Care Center for the last 5 years, Linda enjoyed bingo games, puzzles, reading newspapers and magazines, and helping the staff at the care center. The family would like to thank the doctors, hospice nurses, and staff of the Clarkson Community Care Center for the kindness and great care given to Linda.
