Leta Bisson, 76, of Columbus, Nebraska, died Monday, March 22, 2021, at Emerald Care & Rehab in Columbus.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 25, at 3:00 PM, at Gass Haney Funeral Home with Rev. Cindi Stewart officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday, from 2:00 PM until service time. The service will be broadcast live on the Gass Haney Funeral Home Facebook page.
Leta Rose Bisson was born on April 18, 1944, in Grand Island, Nebraska, to Floyd and Hazel (Smith) Adams. The family moved to Columbus and she graduated from Columbus High School in 1962. Leta attended the University of South Dakota in Vermillion, South Dakota, and earned her Associate Degree in Criminal Justice. She worked as a nurses' aide in nursing homes, including the Veterans' Home in Grand Island. Before leaving Columbus, she worked at various jobs, including Dale Electronics. After moving back to Columbus, she lived at Heritage House for many years. Leta enjoyed reading suspense and mystery novels and liked watching crime shows on television. She also enjoyed playing cards and spending time with her grandchildren.
