Obituary

Lee Krueger, 77, of Richland, Nebraska, died Thursday, February 11, 2016, at his home north of Richland.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 20 at 10:30 AM at Gass Haney Funeral Home with Rev. Timothy White officiating. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, rural Columbus. Visitation will be on Saturday from 9:30 AM until service time at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donation in memory of Lee be made to the Columbus Community Hospital Hospice or the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation.

Lee Krueger was born March 19, 1938, in Columbus, Nebraska, to F.W. and Elsie (Klug) Krueger. He attended Columbus Public Schools and graduated from Kramer High School in 1956. On May 1, 1960, Lee was united in marriage to Adria "Adie" Loseke at St. John's Lutheran Church, Shell Creek. The couple lived in Niles, Michigan, for 10 years where Lee was employed by Tyler Refrigeration Company as a company accountant. They moved back to Nebraska and settled on the Loseke family farm near Richland. Lee worked for Tempo in appliance sales from May 1968 to December 1978. He then began working at Fleischer Manufacturing as a supervisor from 1978 to 1988. In 1988, Lee became the office manager for Nebraska Saw and Tool which he and Adie purchased in 1992. They retired in 2005. Lee enjoyed going to custom car shows and hotrod shows. He collected hot wheels, wooden duck decoys, model cars, and guns.

Grandchildren - Koleton, Julia, Rachel, Emma, and Tess
Brother - William "Bill" Krueger of Elkhart, IN
Brother - Glen Krueger of San Antonio, TX
Special Friends - Darwin and Yvonne Sieh of Columbus, NE; and Mike and Barb Siedlik of Columbus, NE
