Laurens Albert, 75, of Columbus, Nebraska, died Monday, June 30, 2025, at Emerald Care and Rehab of Columbus.

A memorial service will be on Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Gass Haney Funeral Home, with a visitation from 1- 2 pm prior to the service.  Pastor Randy Longacre will be officiating.  The funeral service will be live streamed on Gsss Haney Funeral Home Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100057043736890

Laurens was born May 20, 1950, in Council Bluffs, IA, and adopted by Warren and Dora Albert.  Laurens attended high school in Columbus and graduated high school from Wentworth Military Academy in Missouri.

On August 13, 1988, Laurens was united in marriage to Janet Krueger in Minden, Nebraska.  Laurens spent his working career as a nurse, over the road truck driver, and in production at several area plants.  Laurens enjoyed watching his beloved Denver Broncos, collecting coins, stamps, and Indian artifacts.
