LaNora Horrocks, 92, of Columbus, Nebraska, died Wednesday, February 21, 2007, at the Columbus Community Hospital.

The funeral service will be on Saturday, February 24, at 10:30 A.M., at the First United Methodist Church in Columbus with Rev. Bill Ritter officiating. Interment will be in the Columbus Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the Gass Haney Funeral Home. There will be a family prayer service on Saturday at 10:15 A.M. at the church. Memorials are suggested to the First United Methodist Church.

LaNora Horrocks was born July 4, 1914, in Meadow Grove, Nebraska, to George and Iva (Mead) Carter. LaNora grew up in Meadow Grove and graduated from Meadow Grove High School in 1932. On October 19, 1932, LaNora married Darrell Horrocks in Neligh, Nebraska. They lived in Tilden from 1952 to 1959 when they moved to Columbus. LaNora worked in the produce department at Jack and Jill's for many years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and enjoyed playing bingo, cards, and going dancing.

Daughter: Mary (Jack) Crook of San Pedro, CA
Daughter: Vicky (Larry) Barcel of Columbus, NE
10 Grandchildren
23 Great Grandchildren
Several nieces and nephews
