Kenneth O'Hara, 74, of Columbus, Nebraska, died Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at Good Samaritan Society in Osceola, Nebraska.

The funeral service will be held at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, January 3, at Gass Haney Funeral Home with Pastor Mariano Menendez officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday, from 5:00 PM until service time, all at the funeral home. Interment will be held at a later date. The service will be broadcast live on Gass Haney Funeral Home Facebook page.

Kenneth Patrick O'Hara was born on March 23, 1948, in Whittier, California, to Robert O'Hara and Dorothy Zimmerman. He grew up in California and attended school there. On April 25, 1968, Ken entered the United States Army and served during the Vietnam War until his honorable discharge on January 26, 1970. In August of 1974, Ken was united in marriage to Julie Reineman.

Through the years, Ken worked as flooring installer and later worked as a truck driver. He lived much of his life in California until moving to Washington State in 2008 and later to Nebraska in 2021. He enjoyed playing baseball, riding motorcycles, and throwing horseshoes. Ken had a huge personality and could make everybody laugh.

Ken's family would like to thank the caretakers and staff of ProMedCare for their wonderful care and compassion. Also, a thank you to Jim and Terry Rigdon of Ocean Park, WA for their friendship and love. "R dad" will be missed.
