Karen Eisenmenger

Karen Eisenmenger, 80, of Columbus, Nebraska, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Monday, March 23, 2026, at Columbus Community Hospital.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM, on Friday, March 27, at St. Isidore Catholic Church with Father Joe Miksch and Deacon Kelly Schrant celebrating the Mass. Visitation will be on Thursday, from 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM, with a Vigil Service at 7:00 PM, at Gass Haney Funeral Home. Visitation will continue Friday, from 9:30 AM until service time, at the church. Interment will be in All Saints Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family's choice. 

Karen was born on August 21,1945 in Mitchell, South Dakota, to Robert and Lillian (Hansen) Gotwals. Her family moved to Colorado when she was a teenager, she graduated from Lewis-Palmer High School in 1963. Karen worked many jobs thru her life including Alco Store, Pamida, Appleton Electric Co and Wal-Mart until her retirement in 2010. Karen loved to garden in the spring and summer months you could find her tending to her flowers or watering flowers or the yard. In the colder winter months she loved to sew, she frequently made gifts for family, friends and neighbors for Christmas. She also dearly loved her grand-dogs she enjoyed them visiting and giving them bunches of treats every time they came over. She loved to go for walks around her neighborhood at Heritage House and talk with people along the way.
