Justin Levi Dubs, 38, passed away on January 30, 2026.  Private Family Services will be held.

Justin was born on October 13, 1987, in Alliance, Nebraska, to Jay and Suzy (Mihulka) Dubs.  He was baptized at Ashby Congregational Church in Ashby, Nebraska, and confirmed at St. Luke's United Church of Christ in Columbus, Nebraska.

Justin grew up in Columbus, attending Columbus Public Schools, and graduated from Columbus High School in 2006.  He was crowned Homecoming King his senior year.  He attended Platte- CCC Campus.

While growing up Justin would spend part of his summers in Alliance with Jay, and Jay put him to work learning the concrete business.  The other part of the summer he spent on his BMX bike with his buddies.  He also worked for a couple of years at Valentino's in Columbus.

While in high school Justin found his calling in the weight room and went on to become an independent strength and conditioning coach.  He worked at GNC and RX Fitness, later owning and operating Dubs Barbell in Spring, Texas until Covid hit.  He was passionate about coaching and helped a lot of people through the years meet their full potential, both in the gym and on the stage.

In 2015 Justin married Katherine Anderson of Omaha, Nebraska, and a few years later their son Oakley Lincoln was born.  He was a fun and loving father who is going to be greatly missed by his son.  Being a father meant the world to him.

Justin was passionate about animals.  He wanted to save them all.  He had many dogs, cats, and fish through the years.  Justin was easy-going and made friends everywhere he went.  He was open-minded and non-judgmental.  He loved nature, hiking, biking, and walking, whether in the mountains, at the ocean, or in the park.

Aunt – Valerie (Arch) Hill of Waverly, NE
Cousins – Leslie (Grant) Suhr, Diana (Adam) White

Living in this chaotic and sometimes hurtful world, the family wishes a simple request.  Instead of a monetary memorial, smile, lend a helping hand, tell someone you love them, and show everyone the goodness in your heart that God has given us all.  Justin would like that.
