Joseph "Joe" Misek, 89, of Columbus, Nebraska, died Thursday, January 1, 2026, at the Columbus Community Hospital.

No service are planned.

Joseph Alvin Misek was born on October 12, 1936, in Schuyler, Nebraska, to Joseph and Bernice (Malzahn) Misek. Joe entered the United States Army in 1954 and served during the Korean War until his honorable discharge in 1957. On December 30, 1961, Joe was united in marriage to Bette Wright in Tecumseh, Nebraska. The couple has made their home in Columbus for the past 30 years. Joe enjoyed Nebraska football and golfing.
