John Campbell, 64, of Tarnov, Nebraska passed away at his home on November 30, 2024.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 8, at 1:30 PM at Gass Haney Funeral Home in Columbus with Deacon Louis Dohmen officiating. Visitation will be on Sunday, from 12:30 PM until service time, also at the funeral home. The family requests casual attire for attendees of the visitation and service.

John Philip Campbell was born on September 7, 1960, in Denver, Colorado, to Joseph and Gloria (Mrsny) Campbell. He grew up in Denver and graduated from Iver C. Ranum High School in 1979. He moved to Nebraska in 1981. On June 2, 1984, John was united in marriage to Theresa Christopher at St. Francis Catholic Church in Humphrey, Nebraska. The couple was blessed with four children.

John worked at Becton Dickinson and Vishay in Columbus for many years and met many great people. He enjoyed working in his shop doing auto body repair. He loved hunting and fishing. In the summer you could find him out at Lake North boating and pulling people on skis and tubes with his fishing poles close by. During deer season he was always prepping his smoker with deer sticks and brats that he had to share with everyone. John always loved helping all his kids with their cars, changing oil, changing light bulbs; he was a do it everything guy.

John is survived by:

Son: Tyler Campbell of Humphrey, NE
Granddaughters: Clara Finkral, Kenna Finkral, & Ella Kuhl, who all loved their "grumpy" Grampy!
Sister: Kathryn "Kathy" (Melvin) Krings of Tarnov, NE
Brother: Russell (Julie) Campbell of Denver, CO
Sister: Lori (Steve) Campbell Young of Westminster, CO
