Jim Jacobson Jr., 57, of Columbus, Nebraska, formerly of Bellwood, Nebraska, died Thursday, July 27, 2023, at the Columbus Community Hospital.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, on Saturday, August 5, at Gass Haney Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Ulffers officiating. Visitation will be on Saturday, from 10:00 AM until service time, also at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the Lincoln Area Youth For Christ.

Jim Leslie Jacobson Jr. was born on January 3, 1966, in Bellevue, Nebraska to Jim and Marlene (Kaspar) Jacobson Sr. He grew up in the Bellwood area and attended school in Bellwood and David City. Jim was very gifted working with his hands and worked for many years doing auto body and construction work. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed canoeing on the river, fishing, and hunting. He always knew the weather forecast and loved watching Westerns.
