Obituary

Jeanette Joan Kamm, 87, of Elkhorn, Nebraska, formerly of Columbus, Nebraska, died Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at Elk Ridge Assisted Living in Elkhorn.

A private funeral service at Gass Haney Funeral Home will be held with burial in Roselawn Memorial Cemetery in Columbus.

Jeanette was born on February 12, 1938, in Tripp, South Dakota, the youngest of two daughters born to Albert and Rose (Mehlhaff) Triebwasser.  She graduated from Kramer High School in 1956.  On December 19, 1959, Jeanette was united in marriage to Richard "Dick" Kamm in Columbus.  They had two children, Jim and Jane.  After her marriage to Dick, Jeanette was a proud homemaker.  In the early years of their marriage Dick and Jeanette could be found on the bowling lanes in leagues with friends. Jeanette was very proud of her bowling accomplishments which included a televised appearance at Omaha's Leisure Lanes.  She loved her family and close friends and was very proud of her four grandchildren.

To be closer to family, Jeanette moved to Elk Ridge Village Assisted Living in Elkhorn in November of 2021.  Jeanette's family would like to acknowledge the loving care and assistance she received from the staff at Elk Ridge over the past four years, as well as the care and support she received from the caregivers and team at Suncrest Hospice Care the past six months as her health declined.

Son: Jim (Jerilyn) Kamm of Omaha, NE
Daughter: Jane (Justin) Bateman of Ridgely, MD
Grandchildren: Joseph, Mitch, and Eddie Kamm, and Hannah Bateman
Niece: Diane Molinaro of Gold Canyon, AZ

Husband: Dick Kamm
Parents: Albert & Rose Triebwasser
Sister and spouse: Vivian and Edwin Joseph
