Jami Spale, 39, died Wednesday, May 28, 2025, in Norfolk, Nebraska.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 4 at 11:00 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Columbus with Pastor Ollie Fullmer officiating.  Interment will be in the Schuyler Cemetery, Schuyler, Nebraska, around 1:30 PM that afternoon.  Visitation will be on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until service time at the church.  There will be a family prayer service at 10:45 AM on Wednesday, also at the church.  Memorials may be directed to the wishes of the family.  A Go-Fund-Me page has been set up for Jami at https://www.gofundme.com/f/jami-spale

Jami was born May 1, 1986, in Columbus, Nebraska, to Janet (Bazata) and Douglas Spale of Bellwood, Nebraska.  She graduated from Columbus Sr. High School and then went on to graduate Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Education at University of Nebraska at Omaha.

Jami was a proud mother of 4 wonderful children and is survived by Logan, Jordyn, Isaiah, and Blakely of Omaha; her parents Janet and Douglas Spale of Bellwood; her sister Shelly Spale (Todd) Cutler, and brother Jason Spale all of Omaha. Jami is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Jami was preceded in death by her brother Scott Spale of Gretna, grandparents James and Elva Spale of Columbus, and grandparents Lumir and Inez Bazata of Schuyler.

Jami was a loving and compassionate person, and her smile had a way of brightening the darkest days. Jami worked as a Family Permanency Specialist at Nebraska Families Collaborative. She was also talented at visual merchandising and enjoyed working in retail clothing.
