James D. Eschliman, 36, of Leigh, Nebraska, died Friday, September 13, 2024, as a result of an auto accident in Colfax County, Nebraska.

The family will greet friends at a informal gathering on Friday, September 20, 2024, from 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM at Gass Haney Funeral Home.

James D. Eschliman was born November 28, 1987, in O'Neill, Nebraska, to Everette "Butch" and Grace (Bear) Eschliman.  He graduated from Hartington High School, and worked in Norfolk, Nebraska, for a few years. After moving to Leigh, James worked with U & I Sanitation.  He had a large collection of Hot Wheel cars and was always there to lend a helping hand, a smile, a hug, or even the shirt off his back, to help a friend.  James knew no stranger.

James is survived by:
