Irene Bishop, 90, of Fremont, Nebraska, died Monday, February 16, 2015, at Dunklau Gardens Nursing Home in Fremont.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, February 18 at 11:30 AM at the Clarkson National Cemetery with Rev. Cathy Allen officiating. There will be no public visitation.

Irene was born on September 19, 1924, in Colfax County, Nebraska, to Edward and Tillie (Kastanek) Malena. She graduated from Clarkson High School and on July 16, 1945, was united in marriage to Veril Bishop in Belleville, Kansas. While Veril served in the United States military, Irene and their son Ed lived in Clarkson with her parents. After Veril returned from his time in the military, the family made their home in Fremont. Irene was a homemaker who enjoyed doing paint-by-number and raising African Violets.
