Helen Campbell

Helen H. Campbell, 88, of Rockport, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2026 in Rockport. Private Family graveside services will be held at Roselawn Memorial Cemetery in Columbus, Nebraska.

Helen was born on November 14, 1937, in Columbus, Nebraska to William and Matilda (Cattau) Korte. Helen grew up in Platte County and attended teacher’s college at Concordia University. She was a graduate of the Realtors Institute.

Helen was a real estate agent and owned the Century 21 location in Columbus. Helen received several local and state awards during her real estate career and held several positions with the state and local real estate boards. Helen served as a State Senator in District 22 from 1987 through 1991 in the Nebraska Unicameral. Helen also served on numerous boards and committees, such as the Columbus Area Chamber of Commerce, the Nebraska Chamber of Commerce, Mid-America Council of Boy Scouts, Platte County Visitors Committee, Big Brothers-Big Sisters, the United Way of Columbus, Rotary Club, Women’s Golf Association, and Women’s Bowling Association. While in Rockport, Texas she also served on several committees at the Rockport Country Club.
