Frances Faltys, 91, of Clarkson, Nebraska, died Thursday, April 17, 2025, at Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk, Nebraska.
Visitation with family members will occur on Friday, 25 Apr 25 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at New Zion Presbyterian Church, in Clarkson. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, 26 Apr 25 at 10:30 AM at New Zion Presbyterian Church, with interment in Clarkson National Cemetery to follow. A luncheon will be served in the church fellowship after the committal service.
Frances was born May 29, 1933, on a farm near Leigh, Nebraska to Vaclav (James) and Otillie Brdicko. She was the youngest child in a family that included Emil, Jim, Mayme, Evon, Tillie and Joe. Frances was baptized and confirmed at New Zion Presbyterian Church and was a life-long member. She graduated from Clarkson Public Schools in 1951.
Frances married Robert Faltys on July 27, 1954, and they made their home on a farm southeast of Clarkson where they raised their family. During their early years of marriage, the couple traveled to El Paso, Texas and Wiesbaden, Germany for Robert's service in the military. She spent many enjoyable hours tending to the family garden, cooking, teaching Sunday school and serving on various committees for the church, VFW and American Legion auxiliary. Frances was most proud of the 18 years that she spent as a CNA at the Clarkson Nursing Home.
Survivors include her husband Robert of 70 years, Gary (Lynne) Faltys and their children, Tara (Dan), Brad (Melinda) and Brian (Joanna); Ricky (Debra) Faltys and their children, Allison (Cory), Mikayla (Jordan) and Melanie (Aaron) and many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Frances was preceded in death by her siblings and parents.
