Elliott Renner, 72, of Howells, Nebraska, died Saturday, February 8, 2025, at his home in rural Howells, Nebraska.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 19 at 10:30 AM, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Howells, with Pastor Caleb Wehling officiating.  Interment will be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery north of Howells.  Visitation will be on Wednesday, prior to the service, from 9:00 AM until service time at the church.  Memorials may be directed to those of the donors choice.

Elliott   Lewis   Renner   was   born   July   9,   1952,   in   Columbus,   Nebraska,   to   Orley   and Norma (Nadrchal) Renner. He attended District 32 grade school and graduated from Clarkson High School. Elliott was united in marriage to Roberta Consbruck, and to this union,   two   children   were   born—Katherine   and   Jason. Elliott   lived   on   the   family homestead northwest of Howells where he had farmed with his father.

Elliott was always an auto enthusiast. In his younger years, he restored several cars with the help of a good friend and proudly drove them in parades. And for decades, he enjoyed taking his Plymouth Barracuda (a high school graduation gift from his parents) for country drives while listening to the original 8-track player. A kind smile and gentle demeanor, Elliott was a morning regular at the local cafe. At home, he preferred having the music on and liked talking about projects on the farm and what the weather was going to bring.

Elliott was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Howells.

Sister – LaVaine (Ron) Nathan of Omaha, NE
Sister-in-law – Lisa Renner-Ellermeier of Linwood, NE
